Issues & Priorities
As Virginia's oldest faith-based advocacy organization, we have worked with and through the faith-informed community on a range of social justice issues since our founding in 1982. Each year we survey our members to determine what issues members are interested in and what they are willing to work on. The poll also helps us allocate our limited staff resources efficiently and gives us a sense of how we’re meeting the expectations of our members. This year over 38% of members participated in the survey – an increase over last year – giving us a confidence rating of 95% and a margin of error of +/-5% in the results.
The poll results affirmed our overall mission – to stay steadfastly committed to a more just and compassionate Commonwealth – despite some shifts in member interests and commitment to advocacy. Follow the links below to learn about our position on the issues, our plan for progress, and how you can get involved.
