There is a shortage of affordable housing all over the Commonwealth of Virginia, and communities of faith have come together to support this need. Some congregations have realized they aren’t using all the land they own (whether because of mergers, school closings, or just happenstance) and have considered using that land to build more housing. On July 14, we will hear from several nonprofits and congregations that have collaborated to create housing in various places around Virginia. We will also touch briefly on other ways congregations can support affordable housing efforts. Join us to learn more!
