Event Details:

On the 5th anniversary of the attacks in Charlottesville, the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP) invites you to join us for a community symposium on combatting religious and racialized hate crimes and violence in Virginia.  This event will culminate VICPP’s “Together in Faith” project in partnership with the Prince William County Police Department and springboard into a statewide effort. You will hear special remarks from U.S. Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and a keynote from Delegate Michelle Maldonado. The program features a panel of dynamic faith leaders in Prince William County, followed by a panel of civic leaders that will include Prince William County Supervisor Margaret Franklin, who represents the Woodbridge district where hate crime incidents have occurred within the past five years, and the FBI Virginia field office which investigates hate crimes.

Moderated by Deaconess Andrea Bailey, Vice Chair, Prince William County Board of Supervisors
