Empowering the Next Generation of Faithful Advocates
Each year, the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy welcomes a team of student interns who bring their voices, curiosity, and passion for justice to our mission of advancing social, racial, and economic equity across the Commonwealth.
Interns at Virginia Interfaith Center have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the intersection of faith and public policy, and how people of all faiths can work together to influence change.
- Gain hands-on experience in advocacy, communications, and event coordination.
- Contribute to campaigns on issues such as affordable housing, health equity, worker justice, and environmental stewardship.
- Connect with lawmakers, community leaders, and other students from across Virginia during events like the Day for All People and the Student Day of Action.
Through this experience, interns see firsthand how policy decisions impact communities—and how everyday people can make a difference. From helping organize advocacy days to meeting with legislators and amplifying community stories, interns play a meaningful role in shaping a more just and compassionate Virginia.
