The Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP) works to make Virginia a more equitable place, with increased access to opportunities for all communities. As people of faith, we share the foundational values of loving our neighbors, caring for the vulnerable and uplifting the marginalized members of our communities.
Through outreach, public events, and collaboration with partner organizations, we work to dismantle discrimination of religious minorities, ethnic minorities, and immigrants, in order to welcome them to Virginia. This work includes policy advocacy at the State Capitol in Richmond, as well as programmatic support and prayer through faith communities.
Congregational guide
In 2025, faith communities are responding to the call to welcome and support immigrants. VICPP has compiled a guide including faith resources, study tools, and legal explainers. Please share this resource with other congregations and people of faith!

Past victories
Over the years, VICPP has prioritized standing up for immigrants. Working with coalitions and motivated by the stories of the affected community, we have won important victories for our brothers and sisters who call Virginia home.
In-State Tuition: Students that have lived in Virginia for years and graduate from Virginia high schools deserve in-state tuition at colleges and universities throughout the commonwealth regardless of documentation status.
Driver Privilege Cards: People need to drive to get to work, school, and religious services. In partnership with the Drive Virginia Forward coalition, people throughout Virginia can now access the equivilent of drivers' licenses, even without documentation.
