Achieving More Affordable Housing for Virginia

Yet too many Virginians struggle with rising housing costs, unsafe living conditions, or the constant threat of eviction. At Virginia Interfaith Center, we work alongside congregations, communities, and policymakers to advance solutions that expand affordable housing, protect tenants, and provide the funding necessary to address Virginia’s housing crisis.

Protecting Tenants
Everyone who rents a home deserves stability and safety. We advocate for policies that prevent unjust evictions, curb exorbitant rent increases, and ensure safe, dignified housing for all renters.
Funding for Affordable Housing
Solving the housing crisis requires sustained investment. We support funding for affordable housing development, preservation, vouchers, and first-time homebuyer programs to expand opportunities statewide.
