Working families and low-wage workers in Virginia often lack adequate wages, paid time to care for themselves or sick family members, and other essential workplace protections. Many working parents also lack access to affordable and quality child care, which can prevent them from being able to work, and can negatively impact the early education of their children. By addressing systemic barriers and advocating for just policies, we can create a stronger, more equitable Virginia.

Supporting Working Families

We promote policies that help families balance work and caregiving, from access to paid leave to protections that ensure no one has to choose between their health and their paycheck.

Improving Wages and Working Conditions

We advocate for fair wages and safe workplaces, ensuring all workers are treated with dignity and respect. When wages and conditions improve, entire communities benefit.

Addressing Child Labor

We work to strengthen protections for young workers and eliminate exploitative practices, ensuring that every child in Virginia has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive without being forced into unsafe or unfair labor.
