Service speakers included Dr. Rebecca Scheckler of the Blacksburg Jewish Community Center, Rev. Robert Berghuis of Asbury UMC, Rev. Dara Olandt of the Unitarian Universialist congregation in Blacksburg, Dr. Hesham Rakha of the Islamic Society of the New River Valley, and Rev. Catherine Taylor of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. The Unitarian Universialist choir also sang. Just under 100 people attended the multi-faith event, sponsored by the Virginia Interfaith Center.
