The New River Valley Chapter of the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy is sponsoring “Welcoming the Stranger,” an interfaith service, on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. Faith leaders from the local Muslim and Jewish communities will join those from several Christian churches and the Unitarian-Universalists in exploring what each faith tradition says about welcoming “the other.” The service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1301 Gladewood Dr., Blacksburg, 24060. After the service, there will be refreshments. Childcare will be available.
